She enjoyed embroidery, gardening, tying quilts, listening to Lawrence Welk music, canning and making photo albums.

 Henry A. Pernsteiner, 90, of Stetsonville passed away October 4, 2016 at Aspirus Care and Rehab, Medford, surrounded by his family. Henry was born on February 27, 1926 in Medford to Antone and Mary Pernsteiner. Henry married Lois Jensen on September 27, 1946 who survives.

  After school he enlisted in the Navy at 17 where he was stationed in the South Pacific on the USS Missouri during World War 2. After the war Henry went on to work for Bootzin’s Feed Mill, Funk’s Seed Corn Dealer, and he also farmed. In his retirement he enjoyed anything outdoors especially trout fishing, hunting, mowing the lawn, and gardening, and spending time with his family.
  He was a member of the Boxrucker – Berry American Legion Post #519 in Stetsonville.
  In addition to his wife, Lois, Henry is survived by his children Jan (Jim) Barnett of Chippewa Falls, Gale (John) Resech of Colby, June (Jeff) Jones of Washougal, Washington, and Gary (Linda) Pernsteiner of Medford, 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother Greg Pernsteiner of Medford.
  Henry is preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday October 10, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville at 11:00 AM, with Father Frederick Brost officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Little Black. Visitation will take place on Monday October 10, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. A rosary service will take place at 9:30 AM on Monday October 10.

He enjoyed the outdoors, planting trees, making firewood, scrap processing, gardening, his coffee clutches and church dinners.

PRINCIPLE EVENTS IN LIFE: After high school, Myra worked for the Taylor Co. Clerk office for 10 years. When Lloyd passed in May of 1971, she stayed at home to take care of their son Lloyd Jr. and took up sewing and alterations to provide for her family. After ten years, she went to work for Little Black Insurance Co. as an under writer for a period of time. Myra then worked for a few different insurance companies in the area before working for Liberty Homes until her retirement. In her retirement, she did record keeping and was an active partner for her family sawmill business. Myra contributed a large amount to the raising of her grandson Jacob while her son was working as an over the road driver. She enjoyed quilting, taking pictures, spending time outdoors, gardening, deer hunting, listening to country music, flowers and spending time with her family, especially her grandson. Myra’s greatest love of country music was the steel guitar of which she was an avid Player. She played music throughout her life starting with her sister and carried on into her marriage with Dale.

  Clarence P. Schreiber, age 93, of Abbotsford, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield surrounded by his loving family.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Abbotsford.  Father Charles Hiebl and Father Peter Manickam will officiate.  Interment to follow at the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in Milan.  Family and friends are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.  The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.

  Clarence was born on May 21, 1923, the son of Bernard and Hattie (Soueck) Schreiber in the Town of Johnson.  He was united in marriage to Marcella M. Holbach on July 17, 1948 at St. John Catholic Church in the Town of Wuertzburg.  Together they farmed in the Town of Holton.

  Clarence was a farmer all his life and a hard worker. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, skating, polka music, smoking his pipe and watching the Packers and Brewers.  Most importantly, Clarence was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved being with his family.

  Clarence is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marcella of Abbotsford; five children:  DaWayne (Barb) of Abbotsford, Dan (Jennifer) of Abbotsford, Sharon (Tony) Resler of Abbotsford, Julie (BJ) Venzke of Athens and Robert (Rowan) of Mt. Horeb; 12 grandchildren; Samantha, Stephanie, Paige, Michael, Jessica, Scott, Julius, Mariah, Casey, Ross, Cole and Sonja; one great-grandson, Les.  He is further survived by two brothers:  Roman (Marcella) of Abbotsford, George (Carol) of Athens and his sister, Sister Lorretta "Irene" Schreiber of Merrill; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Rev. Father Bernard Schreiber and an infant brother, August; and a great-granddaughter, Braelyn.

  The family would like to thank the Golden Living Center - Continental Manor for all their care and compassion they gave our dad the three years he was a resident.  Also a special thank you to St. Joseph's Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit for all their kindness and professionalism they showed to the family.

  Helen E. Bergmann, 95, Athens died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Evergreen Place, Kronenwetter.

 She was born December 2, 1920 in Dorchester, daughter of the late Henry and Katherine (Dessl) Suennen. On May 26, 1944 she married Ervin Bergmann at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1982.

  After graduating from Marathon County Teachers College, she taught in rural Marathon County Schools for five years. For 30 years, Helen served as clerk for the town of Bern. In earlier years, she enjoyed gardening and had traveled extensively. Among her favorite pastimes were, birdwatching, reading, crossword puzzles and playing sheepshead. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and was a member of their choir for Sunday Mass and funerals. Above all, she loved the time spent with family, especially her grandchildren.

  Survivors include her children, Neil (Karen) Bergmann, Athens, Jane (Bucky) Bautch, Arcadia, Barbara (John) Losey, Mesa, Ariz., Alan (Linda) Bergmann, Mosinee, Mary (Mickey) Hadick, Holt, Mich., Bruce (Kay) Bergmann, Eau Claire, Keith (Lisa) Bergmann, Wausau; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Bergmann, Kenosha and, 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

  Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Stuart and David, infant twin daughters, one grandson, Anthony Bergmann, her siblings, Henry Suennen Jr., Margaret Suckow, Katherine Joers and Pauline Kornack.

  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. The Rev. George Graham will preside. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens and again on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.   Opal Catherine Cardinal, 86, of Medford, passed away Saturday October 15, 2016, two days before her 87th birthday, at Aspirus Care and Rehab of Medford, under the loving care of her family, friends, and Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.

  Funeral services for Opal will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday October 19, 2016 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Medford, with Pastor Brian Mundt officiating. Burial will take place at 4:00 PM, Wednesday October 19 in Mt. Repose Cemetery in Friendship, WI, where she will be laid to rest next to her sons, Earl and Jerry Leach. Visitation will be held Tuesday October 18, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM, at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford Chapel, and also Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church from 9:00 until the time of service at 11:00.

  Opal was born October 17, 1929 in Big Flats, WI, one of 12 children, to the late Earl and Iva Murray.

  Opal was a full time housewife and mother. Her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. A lot of her time was spent caring for two sons born with Muscular Dystrophy who were wheelchair bound their entire lives. A determined woman, she made many trips to the Children’s Hospital in Madison, and also participated in many Jerry Lewis telethons. Opal loved country music, especially the oldies but goodies. She will be remembered for making the best cinnamon rolls in all of Taylor County. She loved to go to garage sales, she loved buying clothes for her family, although they may have been the wrong size or the wrong color, if the price was right, it was purchased. She lived in many different places throughout Wisconsin. She moved from the farm near Marshfield to Altoona to be close to a school for her handicapped sons. She later moved to the Withee Area on County Highway T, and then moved to Medford.

  After several failed marriages, she met the love of her life Lawrence Cardinal. They were married December 4, 1976.

  Opal is survived by her children; Bonnie (Bruce) Brunner of Medford, Arliegh Leach of Eau Claire, and LeRoy (Carin) Leach of Mauston, and seven step children, Grandchildren; Cathy (Jake) Beilfuss, of Medford, Carol (Lonnie) Nelson of Colby, Jeremy (Jennifer) Brunner of Owen, Bryan Leach of Eau Claire, Katie Spencer of Wytheville, VA, Josh and Nicole Leach of Mauston, Great Grandchildren; Kyle, Tyler, Brittney, Amanda, Jessica, Bobbi, Veronica, Nathan, Megan, Matthew, Brandon, Zoie, Lillian, Great Great Grandchildren; Addison, Khloie, Carter, Kya, Kentley, and Harper. She is further survived by two brothers; Arleigh (Ann) Murray of Eden, and Donald Murray of Berlin, and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

  Opal was preceded in death by her Parents, all of her sisters and brothers, except two, two children, and her husband.

  Regina M. Czerniak, 93, of Westboro passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Our House Senior Living, Medford, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 27, 1923 to John and Margaret Dums in the Town of Greenwood. She graduated from Highland Grade School, Rib Lake High School and Antigo Vocational School for Bookkeeping. After schooling Regina worked as a housekeeper in Chicago and at the Rosemont Powder Plant in Minneapolis. She married Louis H. Czerniak on September 10,1949 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in the Town of Greenwood, he precedes her in death. After marriage she went on to become a dairy, maple syrup, and Christmas tree farmer.

   In her spare time she was very involved with Assumption Catholic Church in Chelsea, where she was a religious education coordinator and teacher for 45 years. She was also the recipient of the 1989 Pax Christi Award at the Superior Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. Outside of church she enjoyed gardening, caring for her chickens, sewing, cooking, canning, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

  Regina is survived by her children: Daniel Czerniak of Westboro, Mike (Peggy) Czerniak of Medford, Gail (Ron) Behm of Gleason, Mary Lou Czerniak of Westboro, Richard (Kathy) Czerniak of Medford, Tony Czerniak of Westboro, Marlene (Shane) Klemm of Westboro, and Joan (Gerald) Matyka of Rib Lake, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters Helen and Marcella Dums, both of Medford, a brother John (Mary) Dums of Rib Lake, and a sister-in-law Hilda Dums of Rib Lake.

  In addition to her husband Regina is preceded in death by her siblings Joseph Dums, Bernard Dums, Donald Dums, and Margaret Vickers.

  Funeral Services for Regina will take place on Tuesday, October 18 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with Father Phil Juza and Deacon Joe Stefancin officiating. Burial will follow at Chelsea Community Cemetery. She graduated from Medford High School and attended Normal Teachers School.  On October 29, 1947, Anita was united in marriage to Lyle Johnson in Stetsonville.  He preceded her in death on March 22, 1993.

  Anita was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the PCCW. She was an avid reader, especially about history.  Anita enjoyed tending her flower garden, traveling and putting together  jigsaw puzzles.  She also liked playing cards and was part of the Curtiss card club.  Anita also placed flags in Pine Hill and Norwegian Lutheran Cemeteries in Curtiss and North Green Grove Cemetery for Memorial Day for many years.

  Anita is survived by her four children: Dennis (Sherry) of Abbotsford, Larry (LuAnn) of Dorchester, Cheryl (Greg) Sterzinger of Colby and Bryan (Rose) of Marshfield; eight grandchildren:  Mike (Jenny) of Kronenwetter, Steve (Jennifer) of Rib Mountain, Christy (David) Burg of Altoona, Matt (Tami) of Spencer, Sarah (Mike) Jelski of Valparaiso, IN, Stacey Sterzinger of Colby, Jason (Lindsey) of Marshfield and Aaron (Heather) of Marshfield; eight great-grandchildren:  Olivia, Garrett, Madisen, Austyn, Zayla, Wyatt, Vivianna and Gemma.  She is further survived by two sisters and one brother:  Joan Paul of Colby, Mae Fetzer of Waunakee and Eugene (Mary) Habermeyer of Normal, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  MINNIE A. GALAROWICZ, age 96, of Lublin, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Aspirus Care & Rehab in Medford, WI.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, in Lublin.  Rev. Marion Talaga will officiate and burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the church, on Tuesday, from 9:30am until time service.

     Minnie A. Klosowski was born on May 29, 1920 in Chicago, IL, to Walter, Sr. and Nettie (Zdancewicz) Klosowski.  As a young girl, her family moved to a farm in the Lublin area, where she was raised and received her education.  Minnie developed many skills and talents growing up and helping her parents on the farm.  She was united in marriage to her loving husband, Edward Galarowicz, on September 20, 1939.  Together they raised their family and farmed successfully for 42 years until retiring in 1981.  In retirement, Minnie was an avid gardener who nurtured her flowers and gardens with loving care.  She was most happy when spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and had a special relationship with each one of them.  Minnie was, and will continue to be, greatly loved and admired by her family.
     She is survived by her children:  Virginia (Bruce) Luraas of Withee, WI,  James (Kathy) of Excelsior, MN,  Debra (Gordy) Palms of Withee, WI,  Diane Galarowicz of Lublin;  14 grandchildren;  22 great grandchildren;  3 great-great grandchildren;  one son-in-law:  Ted Wojkiewicz of Stanley;  several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
     She was preceded in death by her parents;  her husband, Eddie, on October 29, 1985; 2 daughters:  Delores Wasylko and Alice Wojkiewicz; one grandson:  Charles Copeland;  4 sisters:  Lillian Bjornestad, Jeannette Krieger, Eleanor Nowak, Jane Lencz; and one brother:  Walter Klosowski, Jr.

  Cecilia Dmytro, 83, formerly of Lublin, died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at the

Bethel Nursing Home in Arpin. She was born in Taylor County at her family
home on May 16, 1933 to the late Savery and Regina (Bonczkiewicz)
Szczesniak. Cecilia was one of seven children and grew up on the family farm.
  She attended Clark Elementary School grades 1-8 and proceeded to Withee
High School. Following graduation she attended teachers college in Medford
and continued further education at the University of Eau Claire where she
graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. After acquiring her degree
she taught at Lublin, Owen Withee, Redville and finally in Gilman where she
retired in 1996 after 43 years of teaching.
  Cecilia married William Dmytro on May 16th, 1954 at St. Paul’s Lutheran
Church in Milwaukee. She was an avid seamstress and was also an excellent
baker who prepared many holiday meals for her family. Cecilia was also an
avid skier; teaching all of her grandchildren and hosting an annual event to
have the entire family together for a weekend on the hill.
  She is survived by her sons, Robert Dmytro of Watertown and David (Lisa)
Dmytro of Wausau, daughter in law, Geraldine Dmytro of Perkinstown, her five
grandchildren and six great grandchildren, Hillary (Dan) Tolzman and their
children, Emma and William of Marshfield, Dustin (Sherri) Dmytro and their
children, Clark and Claire of Gilman, Barry (Eric) Dmytro of Lublin, Stacy (Nick)
Syryczuk and their children Henry and Jane and Brandi Dmytro of Minnesota.
She is further survived by her siblings, Jean (Frank) Collura of Milwaukee,
Gertrude (Klayton) Micke of Appleton, Lorraine (James) Halpin of Coatesville,
PA and Bernard (Fran) Szczesniak of Rosemount, MN. Cecilia is preceded in
death by her husband, Bill (2014), her parents, son Jeff, a brother, Edward
and her sister Dorothy (Richard) Krueger.
  A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, October 28th at St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church-Thorp with Pastor Dan Vang officiating. Burial will follow in
the East Side Cemetery-Thorp. Visitation will be from 10AM until time of
service Friday at the Church. Plombon Funeral Home assisted the family with
arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the Gilman
Schools for the readers are leaders program.

  Patrick J. Shereda, aged 96, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2016, in Medford.  Pat was born in Medford on March 17, 1920, the only son of John and Mayme (née Fredricks) Shereda and graduated from Medford High School in 1936.  Pat volunteered for military service in World War II, during which time he became a pilot, flying a B-24 “Liberator” out of Southern Italy until he was shot down on his 13th mission in 1944, and escaped with the help of the Italian Resistance during a harrowing two week trek across the mountains of Northern Italy into Switzerland.  He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.  Pat returned home to Medford in 1945 to care for his parents and there met his wife to be, the beautiful Betty Marti.  Betty and Pat were married in 1948 and celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on October 16.  He joined the Medford Post Office in the late 1940’s, where he became Postmaster in 1962, having been appointed by President John F. Kennedy.  He retired from the Post Office in 1976.  Pat was a lifetime resident of Medford and an active member of the community and Holy Rosary Parish.  Following his retirement he, among other things, served on the Medford City Council and worked for many years in hospice.  He loved golfing – was instrumental in the development of the Black River Golf Course – bowling, playing poker, and going out with the guys to cook a meal in the woods.  Pat is survived by his wife Betty, of Medford, six children and five grandchildren.  Services for Pat will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 28, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM.  Burial will take place at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.  A reception in honor of Patrick will be held at the Black River Country Club, immediately following burial to celebrate his life and times, sense of justice and decency and his kind and generous spirit.  He will be greatly missed.

  Lambert J. “Red” Brost, 87, of Medford died Sunday, October 23, 2016 at his home. 

  Red was born July 9, 1929 in Medford, to the late Anton J. and Margaret (Enders) Brost.  He attended Holy Rosary School and Medford Senior High School graduating in 1947.

  On June 16, 1951 he married the love of his life, Adeline Mayer, in the post chapel at Fort Bragg, NC where he was serving in the U.S. Army.

  He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.

Upon graduating from high school he was employed at Gelhaus & Brost Chevrolet, Inc. of Medford.  He became co-owner and was appointed a General Motors Dealer in 1960, a position he held until ill health forced his retirement in 1995.

  Red was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, a life member of the Knights of Columbus and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He was a long time member of the Taylor County Sportsmens Club, the NRA and EAA. He was also a  member of the Medford Fire Department for 12 years and a past member of Tee Hi Golf Club and the Medford Curling Club. 

  He enjoyed camping, hunting with his four sons, riding his UTV and collecting WWII era model airplanes.    He also loved to restore vintage trucks, tractors & military vehicles.  

  He is survived by his four sons, Joel (Lori) and James (Vicky) of Medford; and identical twin sons Tim (Kathy) of Plain City, OH and Todd (Jolene) of Eau Claire.  “Papa Red” was the proud Grandfather of 8 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by two sisters, Arlyle Mayer of Green Bay and Marlene Dettmering of Medford; and by three brothers Leroy, Vernon and Allen (Joanne) all of Medford.

  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife in 2005, a son, Charles in infancy; two sisters Rita Werner and Peg Tuma; and one brother Tom.

  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford with Father Philip Juza and Father Frederick Brost officiating.  Full military honors will be presented.

Visitation with family and friends will be on Saturday, October 29 Holy Rosary Catholic church from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

  Following the service a luncheon will be held at the Holy Rosary cafeteria.  A further celebration of Red’s life for family and friends will be held at the Medford VFW from 2:00 – 6:00 Saturday.

  Internment of his cremated remains will take place at Medford Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. 

  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made in the name of the Holy Rosary School or the Aspirus Medford Foundation.

  Hubert "Hub" J. Apfelbeck, age 89, of Colby, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016 at The Waterford in Colby.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Abbotsford.  Father Tim Oudenhoven will officiate.  Burial will be held in Abbotsford Public Cemetery.  Family and friends are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.

  Hubert was born on March 14, 1927, the son of Carl and Margaret (Ohlinger) Apfelbeck.  He was united in marriage to Lavonne Prucher on January 20, 1949 in Chippewa Falls.  She preceded him in death on October 13, 2013.

  Hubert was a truck driver for many years, including Morris Gierl and Melvin Companies both in Abbotsford and retired after hauling mobile homes for 31 years for Wick Building Systems in Spencer.  He enjoyed bowling, going to the casiono, camping and traveling.  Hubert especially enjoyed the winters with his wife in Florida.

  Lawrence E. Schmidt, age 88, of Colby, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.  A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby.  Pastor Teri Hanson will officiate.  Family and friends are welcome from 3:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home in Colby.

  Lawrence was born on March 20, 1928, the son of Elmer and Ida (Kolls) Schmidt in Illinois.  He was united in marriage to Martha Wiersma on January 30, 1949 in Alden, IL.  In 1959, they purchased a dairy farm in the Town of Colby and sold it in 1976.

  They moved into Colby and lived above the Rux-Lulloff Funeral Home and Furniture Store.  He worked for the funeral home, drove milk truck for Welcome Dairy, drove school bus, worked at Midwest Trucking, owned Schmidty's Bar for one year in 1981 and tended bar for Town and Country and the VFW in Colby.  Lawrence enjoyed playing fast pitch softball and pitched for many years and also umpired softball for many years.

  Lawrence is survived by his wife of 67 years, Martha of Colby; eight children:  John (Bev) of Mondovi, Peggy Erickson of Leander, TX, Susie (Peter) Jecevicus of Colby, Linda Geiger of Colby, Rocky (Bobbi) of Colby, Jeri (Bill) Schmidt of Abbotsford, Judy (Mark) Sebold of Colby and Carol (Dan) Beyer of Medford; 26 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.  He is further survived by his brother, Joe (Janet) Schmidt of Casselberry, FL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  Ervin O. Mohr, age 93, of Owen, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his residence in Owen. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee. The Rev. Thomas Myhre will officiate. Inurnment will be in Saint Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Town of Greenwood, Taylor County at a later date. Family and friends are welcome from 2:00 p.m. until time of services at the church on Saturday.

  Ervin was born on April 27, 1923, the son of Louis and Selma (Scheithauer) Mohr in the Town of Greenwood, Taylor County. He spent nine months in Alaska working on the highway, Ervin also worked for the Rib Lake Lumber Company sawing logs, and laid asphalt pillars for the railroad in Chicago. His last employment was a truck driver for Western Condensing, later known as Foremost Foods and now Kerry Ingredients in Owen from 1947 until his retirement in 1988.

  Ervin was united in marriage to Joan C. Hendrickson on June 27, 1947 at Saint Peter Lutheran Church in the Town of Greenwood, she preceded him in death.

  Ervin was a member of Saint John’s Lutheran Church and bowled in a bowling league at the 11th frame in Owen. He was an avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. Ervin also loved to garden and tend to his lawn. Ervin and Joan loved to travel in their spare time.

  Ervin is survived by his three children: Cindy (Tony) Lopez of Arlington, TX, Shelley Mohr of Owen and Wendy (Brian) Uphoff of Palmetto, FL, five grandchildren; Jordan (Lindsey), Christine, Catherine (Parrish Miller), Matthew and Jaime and three great-grandchildren: Jackson, Davis and Mason. He is further survived by a niece; Pat (David) Blazer of Owen.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joan on December 21, 2005, a son; Terrance, siblings; Dorothy, Millie, Betty, Suzie, Fritz, Harold, Edward and Edwin.

  Richard E. Edlund, age 82, of Dorchester, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Golden Living Center - Continental Manor in Abbotsford.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Abbotsford Evangelical Free Church.  Pastor Michael Jahnke will officiate.  Family and friends are welcome from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church.  The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.

  Richard was born on April 24, 1934, the son of Frank and Lillian (Sunwall) Edlund in Spirit.  He graduated from Tripoli High School in 1952.  Richard was united in marriage to Kathy Lee in 1972.  The later divorced in 1982.

  Richard farmed in Price County.  After he sold the farm, he moved to Dorchester where he worked at the Dorchester Feed Mill.  Richard enjoyed, hunting, fishing, trapping, snowmobiling and logging.

  Richard is survived by his brother, Eldon (Marie) Edlund of Chicago; nieces and nephews: Marlene (Tom) Schreiner of Medford, Robert (Sandy) Schilling of Medford, Loraine (Richard) Beaumont of Galesville and Paul (Holly) Edlund of Chicago.

  He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Loraine Edlund and Evelyn Schilling.
