Tucker William Westfall, age 15, was born on May 16, 2003, and died on June 2, 2018, after a UTV accident. Tucker was born in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He resided in Stevens Point. In 2007, the Westfall family moved to Athens so the children could grow up near family and his Dad could coach and teach for the Athens School District.

  Tucker loved hunting and fishing and was always trying to up Dad and his brother on bagging the biggest buck or catching the largest fish. Tucker had a passion for sports playing high school football, wrestling and baseball. At his eighth grade graduation, he said his goals in life were to get married and play for the NFL. He loved watching movies over and over again and would recite the script before the actor would say them. Tucker was a very kind, gentle young man that loved spending time with his friends attending fire pit parties, prom parties, or just hanging out. He always looked forward to the Kayak fishing trips with his Uncle Tom. He will be remembered by many as a very caring person. Tucker loved life and will be so missed by his family and friends.

  Tucker is survived by his parents, Dale and Tracy Westfall, his 16 year old brother, Tanner, his grandparents, Donald and Marlene Westfall and Dennis and Zenia Bohl, his great grandmother, Helen Zumann, his aunts and uncles (David and Donna Houlihan, Jim and Wanda Norge, Thomas and Lorene Mueller, Steve and Jessica Bohl and Gary and Georgine Albrecht), his godfather, Corey Westfall, great aunts and uncles and cousins.

  Visitation and church services will be held at the Athens High School gymnasium on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The church service be held the last hour of this time period. No other funeral arrangements will be made. In lieu of flowers, food or gifts, please give a monetary donation. The Westfall family will be placing the funds towards the future sports programs that Tucker so loved.

  Myrtle May Blomberg, 93, Town of Hill, Ogema, died Saturday 2, at Aspirus Care and Rehab Center in Medofrd, WI. She was born on February 17, 1925, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Rev. George and Myrtle Brooks. She graduated from the El Paso High School in El Paso, Texas Her marriage to the late Ivar H. Blomberg took place on June 8, 1947, at El Paso, Texas. She was a member of the Ogema Baptist Church, and of the Liberty Belles Homemakers.

  Survivors include one son, Tim, Ogema; two daughters, Judy (Rev. James) LeMaster, Ogema, and Debby (Wayne) Berfeldt, St. Paul, MN; grandchildren Larisa (George) Klein, James I. LeMaster, Alex (Heather) LeMaster, Aaron (Katie) Berfeldt, Samantha (Sean) Hallowell, Devon Berfeldt, and Tara Berfeldt; seven great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one son, James, and by six brothers, Milton, Larry, Harry, Alfred, Charlie, and Leslie Brooks, and by many sisters and brothers in law.

  Aure A. “Ray” Liebl, 88, of Rib Lake, passed away Saturday May 26, 2018 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

  He was the beloved partner of Catherine Kriehn and ex Husband Karen Liebl (O’Keane). He was a wonderful Father to Suzanne (Perry) Boneck, Tamara (Jeff) Jackopin and Karen (Kari) Liebl, loving Grandfather of Matthew (Krystle) Jackopin, Shannon (Kyle) Trimble, Ryan (Leah) Boneck, Jeffery Jackopin and Erin Boneck. Proud Great-Grandfather of Kylie Jackopin, Sebastian Jackopin, Haylee Jackopin, Connor Trimble and Lauren Trimble, and one brother Leo Liebl.
  He is preceded in death by his Parents William and Theresa Liebl and sister Lila Liebl Kalin.

  Ray was an honored Korean veteran, Sergeant in the US Army, and traveled in the special service Road Show Tour in 1951-1952 as a backup musician for Bob Hope. He was a proud member of the American Legion. Through his lifetime Ray graduated from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. A musician, composer, orchestra and band leader that went on to form many bands including Ray Liebl and the Sophisticates. Ray was an accomplished entrepreneur owning several businesses and music stores including the current Rib Lake Music Center for over 25 years. He was an exceptional carpenter and a True Artist. His one true passion in life was teaching students the love of music.

  Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial service will take place a 4:00 PM, Monday June 11, 2018 at Hemer Funeral Home, Rib Lake Chapel. Father Dennis Meulemans will officiate. Burial and military honors will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

  Leo James "Jim" Hirsch, age 94, formerly of Medford, passed away on Thursday,  June 7, 2018 at his son Gerald's home in Barrington Hills, IL under the tender care of hospice.

  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford.  Interment to be held at Riverside Cemetery in Withee.  Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Monday at the Church. 

  Leo was born on May 18, 1924, the son of  Leo and Theresa (Brost) Hirsch in Medford, Wisconsin.  He attended Holy Rosary Grade School and Medford High School. He was an operator for the Greyhound bus company for 42 years.

  Leo was united in marriage to Lorraine Milewski on June 28, 1952 in Chicago.  She preceded him in death on May 16, 2005.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 60 years and enjoyed gardening.

  Leo is survived by five children: Connie (Mike) Schubert, James (Polly) Hirsch, Gerald Hirsch, Thomas (Amy) Hirsch, and Debra (Herb) LaMee; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  He is further survived by two siblings:  Marguerite (Ray) Klingbeil of Medford and Patrick Hirsch of Lake Bluff, IL; two sisters-in-law: Bernice Hirsch of Sparta, and Joan Hirsch of Pensacola, FL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife and five siblings: Marilyn (Ray) Strassman, Peter Hirsch, Mark Hirsch, Eileen (Gerald) Handel and John Hirsch; and a sister-in-law, Geraldine Hirsch.

  Janet H. LiVigni, 73, of Rib Lake passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Blue Island, IL on November 11, 1944 to Forest and Janet (Kleifoth) Kurtzweil. She graduated from Oak Lawn Community High School. She married Steven LiVigni on August 10, 1968, he survives.

  Janet worked in the steel industry. She was a hard worker and strong woman with a great sense of humor. She will be deeply missed by all.

  In addition to her husband Janet is survived by her son, Joseph (Kelly) LiVigni; grandchildren, Rebecca, Jessica, and Joseph “Fitzy”. She is also survived by her sister, Peggy Machnikowski of Ogema and brother, Thomas Kurtzweil of Maricopa, AZ. Janet is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

  Ann E. Olah, 91, of Westboro passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Rib Lake Health Services, Rib Lake, where she had resided for the past 7 months.

  A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 30 at Mount Olive Cemetery, Westboro.  Immediately following that gathering will be a celebration of life time at the Rib Lake Ice Age Pavilion that all are invited.

  Ann was born on July 2, 1926 to Archie Donald and Mildred Avery (Streeter) Hebert in Longview, Washington. She attended elementary schools in both Washington and Westboro, WI; was a 1943 graduate of Westboro High School; attended Santa Monica Community College. On February 16, 1946 in Medford she married Steve Olah and he preceded her in death August 20, 1994. After her marriage, they farmed in the Town of Rib Lake for many years until her retirement in 1999. She also cooked at the Westboro School for some time. She enjoyed reading, playing cribbage, gardening, cooking, baking, her pets, feeding the birds, bowling and her family was very important to her. Ann was also a charter member of the Premeau-Schauss VFW Auxiliary, Westboro.

  Ann is survived by her children, Stephen (Gail) Olah of Rice Lake, Robert “Bob” (Kristie) Olah of Sunnyvale, Calif., Richard (Peggy) Olah of Westboro; grandchildren, Stephenie (John) Grefe, Renee (Jack) Stein, Ryan, Andrea & Erik (Heather) Olah, Lisa (Jason) Rashid; great-grandchildren Eli and Ava Grefe, Megan Stein, Brandon, Nathan, Matthew and Luke Olah, Jadeyn Olah, Jordan and Levi Rashid; and brother, John Hebert of Rib Lake.

  Clara Schopfer, age 91, of Owen, passed away on Thursday,  June 7, 2018 at Ascension St. Clare's Hospital in Weston.

  A Memorial Gathering will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20 at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. 

  Clara was born on November 24, 1926, the daughter of William and Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Ploog) Pape in Owen.  She graduated from Owen High School.  Clara was united in marriage to Harold Schopfer in 1944.  He preceded her in death on April 2, 2005.

  Clara worked side by side with her husband, Harold, driving heavy equipment for building roads.  They also had a herd of beef cattle.  She was well-known for her cake decorating skills working for Ken's Bakery in Owen.  Clara made character cakes for her family and others.  She worked as an election officer in the Town of Hixon for many years.  Clara was a 4-H cooking leader, enjoyed making barbie doll clothes and was a seamstress.  She was an excellent cook and baker and was proud of her flower bed and large garden.  Most importantly, she cherished her family.

  Clara is survived by her daughter, Ginger (Camby) Berry of Wausau; seven grandchildren: Jini (Dean) Ruplinger, Patti Bloch, Steven Marcott, Kelly Marcott (Jason Smith), Julie (Brian) Hastings, Michael (Regan) Jacks and Melissa (Eric) Vance; 11 great-grandchildren: Matthew Dassow, Krista Dassow, Nikki Marcott, Hailey Bloch, Onalee Marcott, Shyley Marcott, Madelyn "Maddie" Marcott, John Jacks, Joe Jacks, Ethan Hastings and Ben Hastings; one great-great-granddaughter, Ariana Reeves; a son-in-law, Paul Jacks of Cyprus, TX; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Judie Jacks; a brother, Edward Pape; two sisters, Irma Miller and Cleo Dearth and two siblings in infancy.

  Norman Harold Vanderhoof, 91, of Ogema, passed away on June 20, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family and under the care of Hope Hospice and Palliative Care.

  Norman was born February 28, 1927 in Chili, Wisconsin to Harold and Gertrude (Stoneberg) Vanderhoof. He married Elaine Lundberg on December 28, 1949. Elaine preceded him in death in 2007.
  He is survived by his Children: John Vanderhoof of Ogema, Joyce (Richard) Hildebrand of Iowa, Louise Lukes of Ogema, Larry (Roni) Vanderhoof of Prentice, Susan (Dennis) Ochodnicky, of Ogema, Nancy (Frank) Lukes of Ogema, fourteen Grandchildren, twenty eight Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandchild, and Siblings: Grace Payne of Florida, Myrtle Payne of Sheboygan, Ruby Berkholz of Ogema, Delores Eisner of Rib Lake, Yvonne Presswood of Illinois.
  He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Elaine, daughter Lynn Moriarty, and two Grandsons.
  Norman served in World War II, from April 1945 to November 1946 and attended the Honor Flight in 2017. Norman was a very talented carpenter, building many houses in the surrounding counties. He enjoyed outdoor activities, travel, and visiting with his family.  He also loved working in his workshop after retirement.
  A Celebration of Life followed by lunch at the Spirit Baptist Church, will be held on Saturday, June 23, at 1:30. Pastor Duane Harper will officiate. A Graveside service will take place at Garden of Memory Cemetery where military honors will be held.

  Jacqueline “Jacqie” J. Jablonowski, 63, of Rib Lake, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2018 surrounded by her family in her dream home. She was born in Oakland, CA to Raymond and Gloria (Bednarski) Petri on July 2, 1954. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Jablonowski, whom she married on September 6, 1985. She worked at Northwestern Mutual until her retirement.

  In her spare time Jacqie enjoyed Yahtzee, cribbage, being out in nature, reading, volunteering in the Rib Lake area, traveling, knitting, and fishing.

  In addition to her husband, Jacqie is survived by her children, Brian Jablonowski of Rib Lake, Gregg Jablonowski of Pell Lake, Dawn (James) Shepherd of Muskego, Nikki (Wes) Decker of Port Washington, Chris (Jenny) Machlan of Muskego, and Jeffrey (Jaclyn) Jablonowski of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Josh, Conor, Oliver, Tyler, Gavin, Gianna, Sarah, Aiden, and Kaiya. She is further survived by her mother, Gloria and brothers, Bill and Keith Petri.

  Rose C. Engel, 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 23, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

  Rose was born June 24, 1926 in Gilman, WI to Joseph and Cecilia (Fitzpatrick) Noonan. She is a graduate of Gilman High School. On September 11, 1948 she married Russell L. Engel. Russell preceded her in death on February 23, 2015.
  She is survived by her Children: Randy (Lori) Engel of Pueblo, CO, Rita (Rick) Kuehn of Champlin, MN, Ruth Engel of Colorado City, CO, Roxann (Mark) Dunst of Gleason, WI, Roger Engel of Greenwood, WI, Robin Engel Ashe of Medford, 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
  She is further preceded in death by her Parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
  Following high school Rose attended Normal School and then went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from UW Stevens Point. She then taught grades 2-4 at Rib Lake Elementary School. She retired in 1981 and then traveled with her Husband Russell to all 50 states, and was very proud to have accomplished that. When she was 64 years old, she began substitute teaching until she was 81.
  She loved  crafts, embroidering, gardening, reading, completing puzzles and playing different card games. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rose loved her family and will be remembered for her strong, funny, fashionable and compassionate look on life.
  Cremation rites have been accorded, and a memorial service will take place at 11:00 on Tuesday July 3, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Medford. Rev.   Iris was born on February 6, 1926 the daughter of Jacob and Lucy (Green) Johnson in Curtiss.  She graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1944 and worked in Chicago in the weapons development plant during WWII.  On June 24, 1950, she was united in marriage to Earl Schiszik at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Curtiss. For many years, Iris worked for the U. S. Postal Service. 

  Iris was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.  She liked camping, gardening, canning, especially pickles and preparing Sunday dinners. Iris was known for her cakes and pies.  Most importantly, she was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

  Iris is survived by her husband of 68 years, Earl; three children:  Victor (Jane) Schiszik of Medford, James (Sharon) Schiszik of Spencer and Janine Schiszik of Stratford; seven grandchildren: Kris (Marsha) Schiszik, Kayda (Travis) Hawker, Kelly (Craig) Kallenbach, Michael (Heidi) Schiszik, Ryan (Gayle) Schiszik, Ryan (DeAnn) Griepentrog, Amber Nikolay (Marc Pope) and Ben (Tina) Nikolay; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Sharon Brecke of Owen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and two sisters: LaVern Johnson, Lyle Johnson, Carol Bochnia and Ramona Schaus; one grandson, Corey and one great-grandson, Jacob.

  Iris K. Schiszik, age 92 of Curtiss passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at The Waterford Assisted Living in Colby under the tender care of hospice.A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Curtiss. Reverend Ken Schmidt will officiate.  Interment to follow at St. Paul's Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery, rural Curtiss. Family and friends are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday for visitation. The honor of pallbearers belongs to her grandsons: Mike Schiszik, Ryan Schiszik, Kris Schiszik, Ryan Griepentrog, Ben Nikolay and Craig Kallenbach.

  Jane M. Brylski, 49, of Platteville, died on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in her home town, Medford, Wisconsin.   Jane was born on June 8, 1969 in Medford, WI, the daughter of Bernard and Anita (Ertl) Pernsteiner.      Jane graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1987. She attended IBA City College of Cosmetology and graduated in 1988. Jane was united in marriage to David Brylski on February 27, 1999 at the Third Presbyterian Church in Dubuque, Iowa. Jane worked as a cosmetologist from 1988 until 2015. She continued her education at Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, with a degree in Medical Transcription and Medical Coding 2011-2013. In 2016, Jane enrolled in Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, she had future aspirations of becoming an Oriental Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist, she would have graduated in April 2019.

  Jane is survived by her husband, David, of Platteville; daughter, Jada Brylski; step-daughters, Kasey (Justin) Olson of Baron; Amber (Greg) Plautz of Rhinelander; step-son, Kevin Brylski of Eau Claire; parents, Anita and Bernard Pernsteiner of Holcombe; brothers, Jeff (Tracy) Pernsteiner of Medford; Ed (Sue) Pernsteiner of Merrill; sisters, Susan (Paul) Malovrh; Lori Pernsteiner; Julie (Kurt) Radtke; Becky (Brian) Bucki, all of Medford; Renee (Tom) Henrichs; Heidi (Jerome) Kowalski, both of Stetsonville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Emil and Elsie Pernsteiner and Edward and Emma Ertl.

  Earl Robert Hartwig, 96, from the Town of Spirit, was called home to Heaven on June 30, 2018, at Aspirus Care & Rehab, Medford, where he had resided for the past 18 months. Services to celebrate his life will be at 11 AM on Friday, July 6 at Zion Lutheran Church in the Town of Spirit with Pastor James Langebartels officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Town of Spirit. Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 PM on Thursday, July 5 at Hemer Funeral Home, Rib Lake and from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM at the church in Spirit on Friday, July 6. Pallbearers will be – Ron, Steve & Scott Komarek, Randy Weinke, Robert Olwell & Mark Blasel. A lunch will follow at the Church.

  Earl was a lifelong resident of Spirit, WI. He was born to a WW I hero and Purple Heart recipient, Ferdinand Hartwig, and his wife, Gloria (Andreae) Hartwig on November 23, 1921. He attended Stone Lake School, Town of Spirit. On November 4, 1944, Earl married the love of his life, Vangel “Birdie” Komarek. They were virtually inseparable until her passing on March 29, 2018. They built their home, and had many adventures, on a farm in the Town of Spirit, and called it “The Silver Spur Ranch”. They raised cattle, farm animals and horses. They had one child, Karen Hartwig Campbell, and one grandchild, Jody Lee Campbell. Both were tragically lost many years ago. Earl adored them both.
  Earl Hartwig was a hard working man. He worked at home breeding and masterfully training his award-winning show horses, as well as farming, restoring antiques and handcrafting items. He also worked full time for Owens Illinois from 1969 until his retirement in1986. He was a very talented man.
  Earl was a member of the National Rockhound Society, Zion Lutheran Church of Spirit, Taylor County Rough Riders, Spirit Lake Snowmobile Club and the Arabian Horse Association. His zest for life included many passions. Hunting, boating fishing, traveling, snowmobiling, gardening, repairing clocks, his dogs, and water skiing were among his favorite activities.
  Earl is survived by his brother-in-law, Harry Blasel, two sisters-in-law, Betty Komarek and LaVon Komarek, and many nieces/nephews. He was preceded in death by his much-loved wife, Vangel (Komarek) Hartwig, parents Ferdinand & Gloria Hartwig, beloved daughter, Karen Hartwig Campbell, grandson, Jody Lee Campbell, brothers/sisters-in-law, Arleen and Alfred Weinke, Orval and Ann Komarek, Laurel Komarek, Frank and Freda Komarek, George and Almire Olwell, Eugene Komarek and Mirella Blasel.
  Earl Hartwig was a great man. His radiant smile is unforgettable and his strength balanced by his deeply humble character earned him respect and admiration. The loss of his presence on earth saddens the hearts of many, but the memories of him will forever be the fondest and most treasured. Earl is loved and is reunited in Heaven with those he missed so deeply.

  Wayne M. Habermeyer, age 46, of Owen, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Marshfield Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

  A Celebration Gathering will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford.  A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

  Wayne was born on April 11, 1972, the son of William and Phyllis (Rock) Habermeyer in Medford.  He worked various jobs, including doing carpentry, landscaping and mostly helping anyone who needed him.  Wayne loved his family, especially his two daughters.  He enjoyed NASCAR, nature and was an animal lover.  Wayne always made friends wherever he went and was loved by many.

  Wayne is survived by his two daughters: Amber McBride of Plover and Kelly Bangart of Marshfield; five brothers and sisters: Ronald (Jenny) of Curtiss, Gary (Sandra) of Marshfield, Rae Jean (Mark) Aron of Plover, Jane (David) Smith of Withee and Karen (Todd) Thoreson of Owen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, William on July 24, 1984 and Phyllis on December 21, 2012.

  Donald E. Kieser, age 88, of Abbotsford, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at Marshfield Medical Center.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford.  The Rev. Donald Bruce will officiate. Inurnment with Military Honors provided by the Unity American Legion Post #352 will follow at the Abbotsford Public Cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 10 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10:00 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the church. 

  Donald was born in Athens on September 2, 1929, the son of Gottlieb and Stella (Habeck) Kieser. In 1948 he graduated from Abbotsford High School.  Donald was united in marriage to Joann Voigt on July 17, 1954 in Wauwatosa. As newlyweds they moved to Athens, and eventually settled in Abbotsford.  The love of his life, Joann preceded him in death on June 20, 2015.

  Donald spent the majority of his working years as an employee of the city of Abbotsford, and retired as the Director of Public Works in 1996.  A true public servant, he briefly served as the village police officer and for many years was a volunteer fireman.  He was extremely proud of his service to his country as a 34-year member of the Army National Guard, which included a year of active military service at Fort Lewis, Washington during the Berlin Crisis. 

  Donald was an active and faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford, serving many years as a church elder, and participating in the church choir. Donald loved music, and amassed an extensive collection of records, tapes, and CDs. He also enjoyed trout fishing, telling jokes, and bartending.          Donald was a selfless man.  Of utmost importance to him were his family, faith, community and country.

  Donald is survived by five children:  Geoffrey (Ann) of Fayetteville, NC, Coralee (Patrick) Ellenbecker of Owen, Lori Leichtman of Abbotsford, Don (Paula) of Unity and Michael (Amy) of West Bend; 16 grandchildren:  Robin, Angie, Geoff, Tristan, Leslie, Nita, Doug, Lora, Jenny, Brian, Seth, Molly, Maggie, Alex, Ethan and Maddie; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  He is further survived by five brothers and sisters: Marilyn Brown of Mason City, IA, Carol Bartz of Merrill, Dennis (Joan) Kieser of Thorp, Muriel (Warren) Puhl of Menomonie and Marjorie (Bill) Rohlik of Eleva; a sister-in-law, Lois Stockey of Victoria Island, British Columbia, Canada, a brother-in-law, Burton Erenz of Greenfield; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his older brother Frederick; and sisters Dorothy Quade and Doris Hodd.

  Marilyn A. Schwartz, 79, of Medford, passed away Saturday July 7, 2018 at Aspirus Medford Hospital.

Marilyn was born April 25, 1939 in Medford to Theodore and Ruth (Johnson) Boeckler. She is a 1957 graduate of Medford Sr. High. She married Harlowe A. Schwartz on February 28, 1959 in McMinnville, TN. Harlowe survives.

  She is further survived by her children: Laura (Keith) Deschler of Racine, Stuart of Wausau, Harlan (Tammy) of Medford, Grandchildren: Jordan and Jarrell Klimeck, Nate and Brendan Schwartz, Great Grandchild Gatlin Schwartz, Brother John (Karen) Boeckler of Texas , Sister in Law JoAnne Gebert of Tennessee, many cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.

  She is preceded in death by her Parents, and infant brother Russell.

  Marilyn worked for 30 years at Midway Telephone Company. She and Harlowe lived in Stetsonville until 2008, when they moved to Medford. When her children were young the family enjoyed camping in the Northwoods.  In 1985 they purchased a cabin in Lake Tomahawk where she enjoyed watching the “critters” and taking relaxing pontoon boat rides on Hasbrook Lake.   Marilyn loved having friends and family over for Christmas Eve.  She enjoyed her gardens and feeding and watching animals of all kinds.
She most enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and always looked forward to her monthly classmates and cousins breakfasts.

  Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM, Friday July 13, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Medford. Pastor Tim Becker will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 until the time of services. Burial will follow in Medford Evergreen Cemetery I.

  Memorial donations in honor of Marilyn can be given to her family for designation at a later date.
